People, Pets and Fun

Some paintings are just fun to do. Others, have very special meanings. I like painting my family and pets, though they are challenging. I have not yet got a likeness of my daughters that I am happy with, but I keep trying. Paintings of my grandson, who died suddenly at age 13 are very special. When I paint him its like I can touch him again. Most of these are not for sale but just to showcase some of my work. Many of the works have a story.

George, My husband
Making a Splash

My mom took us on a Mexican cruise. The=is is her, my daughters, my nieces and myself. Such good memories!

George, the Sax Man
Making Beautiful Music

I played flute in school band and took it up again after retirement. George, at age 70, learned to play the saxaphone.

Myself, Playing Flute

His goal was to play in church and he has done that several times. We both joined a community band which has been fun for us both.

Pippin

My brother’s dog was a rescue dog. He is getting older and now has a cataract.

Our Persia

Persia was a beautiful cat and loved George. She would run to him when he came home and wrap herself around his legs untl he picked her up for a cuddle. She was 14 years an indoor cat. I finished this painting just days before she somehow got out and we haven’t seen her since.

My Grandson Carson at the skateboard park
Fly High Carson! We love you!
I have this painting of Carson in my painting room. I talk to him every day.

Embrace the Strength – Amanda and John went to Thailand. John lived a dream when he was able to interact with wild elephants. It was a healing experience

A tribute to Kesiah – Kesiah was always a good hockey player but I especially loved to see him skate. He was fast but just so smooth and light on his feet. I tried to capture that. These were given to his parents.
